careless whimper

“Everybody has this image of him and me‚ like these mystiques or whatever‚ and people always say‚ ‘What is that guy [Axl] like?’ and I go‚ ‘Let me describe to you Axl‚ okay.’ We get in the nicest car like at that time I had ever seen‚ some Mercedes or something‚ I think it was black or might’ve been silver‚ I can’t remember. It was a beautiful car and we’re driving around Hollywood and I’m thinking he’s gonna put some music on. And I don’t know what he’s gonna put on ‘cause I’m intrigued about people’s musical tastes. He grabs a CD‚ looks through all the CDs and then he goes‚ ‘I got it.’ He puts it in and Axl cranks up W.A.S.P.’s ‘I Wanna Be Somebody’ and he’s rocking his head off‚ going down the road. I turn ‘round‚ ‘I can’t believe‚ this is the choice of Axl Rose.’ It’s like‚ this guy rocks‚ man. And then‚ he’s like‚ ‘Okay‚ Sebastian‚ I gotta make one stop.’ So as the W.A.S.P. was cranking‚ he pulls into some alleyway and he goes through the back of this restaurant and buys a tin of caviar for eight hundred dollars! And he comes into the car and he goes‚ ‘You wanna try this‚ man?’ and I go‚ ‘Noo!’ and he goes‚ ‘I paid eight hundred bucks for this‚ man.’ It’s like‚ geez!”—Sebastian Bach, former lead vocalist of Skid Row (Eddie Trunk’s Friday Night Rocks‚ 2006)
